Choose Your Path
At Balanced Electric, we understand that every electrical project is unique. That's why we offer flexible quoting options designed to fit your specific needs and provide clarity from the start. Let's find the right approach for your electrical work.
Our Quoting Options
We want to make getting an estimate for your electrical work as flexible and transparent as possible. We offer a free initial discovery call to gather preliminary information. For projects requiring more than a few hours to complete, we provide three distinct types of quotes.
Free Initial Discovery Call
An initial discovery call is free of charge. During this call, we will gather as much necessary preliminary information as possible about your electrical needs. This helps us understand the scope of your project and guide you towards the most suitable quoting option. Usually a job request that will require more than a half day of work will require a comprehensive site visit.
Time and Material (T&M) Quote
The Time and Material (T&M) Quote is charged based on the actual time spent on the job, as per our standard rate chart available on this site, plus the cost of any materials/permit we provide. Due to the limited financial exposure to us, this is a good option if you want to keep costs as low as possible and have flexibility as the project progresses. No deposit will be required, but a credit card number will need to be provided. Accounts will be reconciled on a weekly basis.
Fixed Price Quote
A Fixed Price Quote means a locked price that won't change. We will absorb all risks associated with unforeseen issues. While this will result in a larger quoted price to mitigate our financial exposure, it's an excellent option for clients who desire the security of a fixed cost with no surprises. Generally associated to larger, commercial jobs, but also applicable to residential clients who appreciate piece of mind. A 50% deposit will be required.
Budget Quote
A Budget Quote is an option in between T&M and a Fixed Price. We provide our best estimate of what we foresee the job costing and the client provides a deposit of 50% of this number. However, if unforeseen circumstances alter the scope of the agreed-upon job, the extra costs, or savings, are passed on to the client. This is a good option for clients who want to generally know the price to expect, but understand that price could be slightly higher or lower than anticipated.
